Wendy is a superbly talented artist based out of the studio, and we are super stoked about having a couple of her paintings as rewards for the crowdfunding campaign.

Wendy aims to expand the tradition of portraiture while at the same time examining contemporary perceptions of identity, representation and concern. This representational painting is juxtaposed with a more painterly approach, which may lead to part abstraction, part realism, that explores the language of paint and colour.

Devoid of any specific time or place, I invite the viewer the opportunity to create their narrative, meaning or associations.  After saying that, my concerns regarding climate change and global warming may influence the composition, and its title may signpost this concern.
