MEET THE MAKER: JENNY LØVLIE
Meet our lovely member Jenny, of Løvlie Illustrations she's Scandi, handy with a pencil and cooks great food for our community lunch.
What's your background?
I'm a children's book illustrator from Norway. I studied illustration and Animation at Kingston University in London and I have been running my company Løvlie Illustration for nearly four years now.
My work is inspired by the Arctic landscape, Scandinavian design and folklore. I love using bright colours and lovely textures to bring my drawings to life. I'm intrigued by nature and the bond between humans and animals.
Best things about being part of TSS? Feeling like I'm going to work and being surrounded by a bunch of lovely like-minded people. It's fab to have someone to talk to over a cup of tea and have lunch together!
I would recommend anyone in need of a space to work to come to TSS for the lovely community and invaluable contacts and inspiration you get here!
Before I knew for sure that drawing was my passion I wanted to become a marine biologist. This lasted until I realised that there is more paperwork than rock-pooling! Now I draw rock pools.
Best thing about being a creative in Cardiff? It's an affordable city that allows us to focus on our passion and it has a lovely art community!
If you want to be part of our community we have pods and desk space available, join us for a free day and have a cuppa and see our space.
